Ruth M. Bergevin, 82, of W. Main
Street, died Tuesday afternoon, June 5, at Samaritan Medical
Center where she had been
a patient for about a week.
Born May 5, 1930, in Watertown, the daughter of Antoine and
Ruth Tierney LaFave, she attended Watertown schools.
She married Alfred E. Bergevin, Sr. May 29, 1948 at Our Lady
of the Sacred Heart Church in Watertown, Rev Benoit C.
Dostie officiating. Mr. Bergevin died in 2001.
Mrs. Bergevin was a member of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart
Church. She enjoyed reading and computers.
Surviving are two daughters, Louise (Mel) Weston, Rochester,
and Ruth Ann (Paul) Soluri, Watertown; four sons, Alfred
Bergevin, Watertown, Michael (Joanne) Bergevin, Malone, Mark
(Teri) Bergevin, Avon, John (Karen) Bergevin, Black River;
three sisters Nancy Lyttle, Watertown, Margaret Perrone,
Ontario, N.Y., and Jean Meagher, OH; 14 grandchildren; and
several great grand children.
A daughter, Linda Bellinger, and a brother, Edward LaFave,
both died before her.
The funeral service will be noon Saturday at Reed &
Benoit Funeral Home. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. to noon
Saturday at the funeral home.

for dad and us, through good and bad times no matter what.
We'll always remember you mom because there'll never be no
one to replace you in our hearts. And the love we will
