HARRISVILLE, N.Y.   —  Kristopher S. Conlin, 36, of County Route 23, died unexpectedly Wednesday evening at his home.

Born Aug. 6, 1975, in Gouverneur, the son of John and Pamela Eastman Conlin, he graduated in 1993 from Harrisville Central School and from Mohawk Valley Community College in 1994. 

He married Chrishelle Jackson at ST. Francis Solonus Catholic Church October 4, 2003. 

Although their marriage ended in divorce, they remained especially close friends.

He obtained his journeyman status as a sheet metal fabricator from Local 58 Sheet Metal Workers International in Syracuse. He was employed by Farley Roofing in Gouverneur, Gouverneur Talc and Jenkins Heating and Cooling also in Gouverneur.

He enjoyed golfing, motorcross, cooking and spoiling his daughters Gabby and MaKenna, and played an important part in the life of Khloe Gail Hadfield as the only “daddy” she has known and he loved her dearly.

Surviving are his parents of Harrisville; his ex wife, Chrishelle, Harrisville; a daughter, MaKenna Rose, Harrisville; a brother, Matthew, Edwards; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Nicole and Jonathan Spencer, Harrisville, Stacy, Boulton’s Landing; a special adopted sister, Kimberly Meilleur, Harrisville; uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Gabrielle, who died August 26, 2011; maternal and paternal grandparents, Ornan and Lucille Eastman and Francis and Grace Conlin.

A funeral for Kris will be held 2 p.m. Saturday June 16, at the Adirondack Funeral Home, Harrisville, with Rev. Frances Hemstreet, pastor of the Harrisville United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in the Harrisville Cemetery. Calling hours will be held noon to 2 p.m. prior to the funeral.
