LOWVILLE, N.Y. —
Judy Ann Kellogg, 65,
died on Friday, June 15, at Crouse Irving Hospital in
Syracuse.
Born Nov. 1, 1946, in Lowville, the daughter of Richard H.
and Rosemary F. Hanno Dean, she graduated in 1964 from
Lowville Academy.
She was married to David H. Kellogg on May 16, 1970, at St.
Peter’s Catholic Church with Rev. Albert Salmon
officiating.
Mrs. Kellogg was employed by Graham’s Five & Dime and
babysat small children for local families while her husband,
David worked for Snow-Belt housing and worked construction.
He died Jan. 26, 1999.
Of late, Judy was a homemaker who loved to bake, cook, knit,
crochet and visit her mother every evening.
Judy was a member of Lewis County Memorial Post #6912 V.F.W. Auxiliary.
Surviving are her mother,
Rosemary Dean, Lowville; a sister and her husband, Cheryl E.
and John Szewil, Lowville; three brothers and their wives,
Richard J. and Linda Dean, Glenfield; William R. and
Roseanna Dean, Cleveland, Tenn., and David M. and Terri Dean
of Burgettstown, Pa.; her brother-in-law and his wife and
Malcom C. and Joanne Kellogg; a sister-in-law, Marjorie
Garber and husband, Harry; and several nieces and nephews.
Judy was
predeceased by her father, Richard, three sisters, Kathy M.
Steria, Patricia Enslow and Carolle L. Thayer, a brother,
Gary N. Dean, and three nephews.
A mass of
Christian burial will be said 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, at
St. Peter’s Catholic Church with Rev. Christopher Carrara
officiating. Burial will follow at the Lowville Rural
Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, at
Sundquist Funeral Home where a prayer service will be held at
6 p.m. by the V.F.W. auxiliary.
