Tyler R. Gentry

WATERTOWN, N.Y.  —  Tyler R. Gentry, 24, of Clinton Street, Watertown, and formerly of Copenhagen, died Friday morning, July 1, in Watertown.  

The funeral will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc. with Pastor Matthew Zehr and Pastor Will Levesque, officiating. Calling hours are from 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5, at the funeral home. Burial will follow the funeral service in West Lowville Rural Cemetery.  

Born April 12, 1987 in Lowville, a son of Jess J. and Rose M. Dunbar Gentry, he attended Beaver River and Copenhagen Central Schools, and Jefferson Community College. 

Tyler had a love of music, and was an accomplished hip-hop artist.  His followers knew him as “Young Truth”.  

He adored his son Gage and enjoyed spending time with him. 

Surviving are his son, Gage, age 3; his mother and step-father, Rose and Jeffrey Marolf, Copenhagen; his father and step-mother, Jess and Amanda Gentry, Queensbury, NY; his maternal grandmother, Dawn Dunbar, Lowville; his siblings, Brandon and Jessica Gentry, Croghan, Danielle Gentry, Watertown, Ashley Gentry, Boonville, Logan Marolf, Copenhagen, Tanner, Victoria and Caleb Gentry, all of Queensbury; several aunts and uncles, great-aunts and great-uncles, nieces and cousins.  

He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Russell Dunbar; his paternal grandparents, James Gentry and Pauline Salmon.
