LOWVILLE, N.Y. —
Shirley A. Terrillion,
72, of Number Four Road, died Tuesday afternoon, July 5, at
Lewis County General Hospital.
Born Aug. 9, 1938, in
Glenfield, a daughter of the late Alexander and Grace
Jamieson Murphy, she graduated in 1955 from Lowville
Academy.
She worked as a telephone operator before and shortly after
her marriage.
She married John M. Terrillion on April 19, 1956, at St.
Peter’s Catholic Church, Lowville.
She devoted her life to raising her family and caring for
children in her home.
Mrs. Terrillion enjoyed bowling on a league for many years.
Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her
grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband of 53 years, John; a daughter and
her husband, Nadine and Bob Logan, Lowville; two sons and a
daughter-in-law, Jeff Terrillion, Syracuse, Kevin and Teresa
Terrillion, Copenhagen; two brothers and their wives, Frank
and JoAnne Murphy, Lowville, and Richard and Barbara Murphy,
Brewerton; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Joan and Robert
Sullivan, Copenhagen, Diane Perrigo, Castorland; a
sister-in-law, Arlene Murphy, Carthage; seven grandchildren,
a great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
Four brothers, Eugene, Niles, Jack and Donald “Bud”
Murphy, and a sister, Edna Murphy, all died before her.
A funeral Mass will be said 12:30 p.m. Friday, July 8, at
St. Peter’s Catholic Church, with Rev. Christopher Carrara,
pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Beaches Bridge
Cemetery. Calling hours are 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday,
July 7, at Iseneker Funeral Home 5702 Waters Road, Lowville.
