LOWVILLE, N.Y. —
Elsie Alm, 86, of S.
State Street, died Tuesday evening, July 17, at Upstate
Medical University, Syracuse.
Born Oct. 18, 1925, in Lyons Falls, the daughter of the late
John S. and Florence Gaylord Alm, she graduated in 1943 from
Lowville Free Academy.
She went to work for Hoffman and Dudo in their office in
Lowville. She retired in 1990 after 47 years of service.
Elsie was a life long Lowville native, loved walking.
She was a great animal lover and always could be found
walking her dogs on Utica Boulevard to the Lowville Plaza
and Countryside Veterinary.
Elsie has done extensive research of the Gaylord and Arthur
families.
She is survived by her cousins; Louise Gaylord Cooke,
Mildred Alm Schneider, and Dorothy Alm Wells, and her many
friends, her dog Trudy and several cats.
A funeral will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 21, at
Sundquist Funeral Home. Burial will be in Turin Cemetery.
