Michael T. Boucher

COPENHAGEN, N.Y.  —  Michael T. Boucher, 61, of 10175 Washington St., died, Saturday, July 23, at home under the Care of Lewis County Hospice and family. He had been ill with cancer for the past five years.

Born Aug. 12, 1949, in Lowville, a son of Robert R. and Joyce Andre Boucher, he graduated from High School in Lowville in 1967. He served four years in the Air force. 

He currently was employed at Fort Drum as the supervisor of the Supply Technician Division.

He married Jody Carter on Sept. 10, 2005, in Copenhagen. 

He was an avid sports fan; he loved the Atlanta Braves, the New York Giants, and Syracuse. He was a past-member of the Bassett-Baxter American Legion Post #789, Carthage.

Surviving are his wife Jody, Copenhagen; his mother, Joyce Boucher; his children, a daughter, Kristina Boucher and companion Kevin Scott, Lowville; Jacob and his wife, Olivia and daughter, Lydia, Lowville; David and his companion Jennifer Vogt, Lowville; Bianca Boucher, Lowville; Kyle and his wife, Kristin Spaulding, and children, Dayton, Camrie, and Taryn, West Haven, Utah; Jay and his wife, Meghan, and daughter, Ainsley Spaulding, Adams; Jared Spaulding, Copenhagen; a brother, Mark and his wife, Nancy Boucher, Lowville, and their son, Erik Boucher and his companion Wendie Barney, Potsdam; a sister, Debbie and her husband, Kevin Kent, Lowville, and their son, Dan Boshart, Potsdam.

His father, Robert R. Boucher, died April 28, 1991.

Calling hours will be held 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, July 25, at the Bossuot-Lundy Funeral Home Inc. 10229 Washington St., Copenhagen. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, at the Bethel Nazarene Church in Lowville with Rev. James Trainham officiating. Burial will follow in West Lowville Cemetery.
