COPENHAGEN, N.Y.  —  Geneva R. Rivers, 63, of Copenhagen, died Sunday morning, July 24, at Lewis County General Hospital.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 27, at Apostolic Christian Church of America, Croghan, with Ministers of the Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Croghan Mennonite Cemetery.  Calling hours are from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville.

Born Dec. 27, 1947, in Lowville, a daughter of Vernon and Katherine Zehr Martin, she attended country school in Belfort and Beaver River Central School.  

She married Gary A. Rivers on Oct. 30, 1971, in Lowville. 

She enjoyed going for walks.

Surviving are her husband of nearly 40 years, Gary A. Rivers Sr.; a daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Stephen Baldwin of Glenfield; a son, Gary Jr. and his companion, Melissa Mooney, Port Leyden; her mother-in-law, Wilma Rivers, Carthage; six brothers and sisters-in-law, Ezra and Wilma Martin, Castorland, Mahlon and Susan Martin, Boonville, Bruce and Sheryl Martin of Croghan, Richard and Kim Martin, Boonville, Ralph and Carol Martin, Turin, Gilbert and Susan Martin, Boonville; six sisters and brothers-in-law, Joan and Stanley Widrick, Croghan, Sharon and Andy Zehr, Castorland, Helen and Stanley DeRouchie, Watertown, Elvira Martin, New Bremen, Rosemary and Edward Wagler, Lowville, Doris and Joe Robbins, Denmark; seven grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.  

She was predeceased by a sister, Clara Boliver, and two brothers, Norbert Martin, and Elmer Martin, who died in infancy.
