Fredrick
C. Davenport, 51, of Carthage, passed away Tuesday,
July 24, at Carthage Area Hospital.
Calling hours will be from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, July
28, at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville. A graveside
service will be held at 5 p.m. in Lowville Rural Cemetery.
Mr. Davenport was born on August 4, 1960 in Lowville, a son
of the late Frederick Davenport and Lena Roggie. He
graduated from Carthage Central School. While he was in
school, he was active with the FFA, and worked on area
farms. He worked on the Colwell farm, and for the
Farney family farm in Lowville.
Mr. Davenport went to work on Fort Drum, and went overseas
in 2004 to work on the Black Hawk helicopters in Jordan.
Currently he was an aircraft mechanic technician on Fort
Drum Airfield since 2002.
Fred enjoyed hunting, fishing and his dogs, Jay, Kay and
Tanner. He was an avid NASCAR fan. He loved
cutting wood, and taking care of all of the neighbors on his
block by mowing lawns, blowing snow, and being there for
them.
Surviving are his mother, Lena Gadbaw of Carthage; two
sisters, Sharon Gadbaw Fernando and her husband Sunil of
Great Bend; Patricia Gadbaw and her fiancé, Timothy Prashaw
of Gouverneur; a niece, Tanya Gadbaw Neitzke and her husband
Erich of Mount Prospect, IL.
He was predeceased by his father, Frederick Davenport.
