CHAUMONT, N.Y.  —  Claire I. Olenhouse, 90, of Three Mile Point Road, died July 22, at her home where she was under the care of her family, friends and Hospice of Jefferson County. 

She was born July 14, 1921, the daughter of Wilfred and Elizabeth Cumins Whittaker. 

She married Earl E. Olenhouse on Feb. 6, 1946.  Mr. Olenhouse died Oct. 10, 2005.   

Surviving are a son and his wife, Earl and Donna Olenhouse, Hilliard, Ohio; two daughters, Mary McIntosh and her partner Marie Mason, Chaumont, and Joanne Racadio, Calif.; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. 

Her parents, her husband, a daughter, Jean Elizabeth Olenhouse, a grandson, Todd Olenhouse, a son-in-law, Ted Racadio, and two sisters, Margaret Linbloom and Gertrude Campenella, all died before her.

A graveside memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, at the New Cedar Grove Cemetery.  

Donations may be given in her name to the Three Mile Bay Ambulance Fund, 8581 NYS Rt 12, Three Mile Bay, NY 13693 or Hospice of Jefferson County, 425 Washington St. Watertown, NY 13601.
