Julia I. Aubin

COPENHAGEN, N.Y.  —  Julia “Judy” Irene Aubin, 78, of 29625 Route 12, died at home Friday morning, Aug. 5, while under the care of her family and Hospice.

Born March 27, 1933, in Lowville, the daughter of Oakley and Julia Irene Wood Cameron, she graduated in 1951 from Copenhagen Central School. 

She married Arthur A. Aubin on Aug. 30, 1952, at Copenhagen Methodist Church with Rev. Carl Jacobs, officiating. Julia and Arthur lived in Oklahoma for two years and Baltimore, Md., for two years while Arthur was stationed with the Air Force. Mr. Aubin died June 17, 2003. 

She was primarily a homemaker.

Mrs. Aubin was a member of the United Church of Copenhagen and was a Sunday School teacher, a Charter Member of the Copenhagen Civic Club, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a past member of The Order of the Eastern Star. 

She was an avid bowler, reader, she enjoyed dancing, traveling, going to casinos with close friends and she loved to shop.

She is survived by her loving fiancé James Harwick, Little Falls; three sons and a daughter in law, Bruce A. and his wife Cindy, Carthage, Scott F. and his companion Karen Pollock, Watertown and Gregory M., Watertown; two daughters and their husbands, Terie and Mike Eisel, Copenhagen and Sherie and Ronald Foster, Copenhagen; 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Christine and her husband Adam Russell, Rodman, Michelle Jewett, Great Bend and Sally and her husband, Gerald Carter, Copenhagen; and a brother, William and his wife, Jean Cameron, West Carthage.

There will be no public calling hours. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug.10, in Brookside Cemetery, Watertown. A celebration of her life will be held at 7:30 PM Wednesday evening at the American Legion Post #61, 138 Sterling St., Watertown. 

Arrangements are being handled by Bossuot-Lundy Funeral Home, Inc., 500 State St., Carthage.
