William R. Sutton,
87, died Thursday, Aug. 18, at Samaritan Keep Nursing Home
where he has been a resident the past four years.
"Wilbur" was born Dec. 14, 1923, the son of
William H. and Ermine Dorr Sutton, he lived on Brookside
Drive all of his life. He attended a one room school house
and was graduated from Watertown High School.
He was a member of the Army for four years and finished his
service in the Army Reserves.
William was an active member of Watertown Grange #7 and
Orient Lodge 238 F. and A.M.
He worked for Ennis Farm Equipment as a driver until his
retirement. After retirement, he worked for the Watertown
Daily Times and volunteered for Meals on Wheels.
Surviving are two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Kenneth (Evelyn) and
Mrs. Richard (Adeline) Sutton; a brother-in-law, Marshall
Rudd; and several nephews and
nieces.
Two brothers, Kenneth T. and Richard J., and a sister,
Carolyn Rudd, all died before him.
A funeral service will be
1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19, at Cleveland Funeral Home, Watertown.
Calling hours will from noon to 1 p.m. before the funeral.
Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery
