WATERTOWN, N.Y.  —  William K. Peters, 50, of 24097 Route 12, died Monday, Aug. 22, at his residence.

Born in Georgetown, Pa., the son of Frederick and the late Jesse Kenworthy Peters, he graduated in 1979 from Carthage Central High School. He later attended Jefferson Community College where he received his certification for EMT.  

Mr. Peters married Loretta D. Gaebel on Oct. 22, 1982, in Carthage.

 He was a skilled carpenter and worked various jobs, most notably in North Carolina. He recently was a customer support person for Stream International in Watertown.

He was a former member of the Herrings Fire Department where he also was an EMT. 

Surviving are his wife, Loretta D., Lowville; a son, Johnathon M. Peters, Lowville, his father, Frederick Peters Sr., Florida; a sister, Deborah Sixberry, Carthage; a brother, Frederick Peters Jr., Herrings; and nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Sunnyside Cemetery, Great Bend, with Deacon Richard Staab officiating. The body will be cremated. There will be no calling hours.

Arrangements are with the Bezanilla-McGraw Funeral Home, Carthage.
