Doris H. Wolfe

WATERTOWN, N.Y.  —  Doris H. Wolfe, 83, of Brownville, passed away early Tuesday morning, Aug. 30, at Samaritan Medical Center where she had been a patient since Aug. 24. 

Born Aug. 7,1928, the daughter of Roy Henry and Helene Gove Lindsey, she graduated from Brownville/Glen Park school. 

After school, she married John Wolfe of Watertown. They lived all their married life in Brownville. 

She worked as a clerk  at the  United States Postal Office in Brownville for many years before retiring.

She is survived by a niece Mrs. Darryl King, Punta Gorda, Fla.; two great nephews, Mr. Jeffery (Mary) Wood, and Mr. Steven (Erika Derouin) Wood,  both of Watertown; a great-great niece, Danielle (Kevin) Reyes, Watertown, and their son, Ezekiel A. Reyes; and a great -great nephew, Austin G. Wood (Erica), stationed in the Army, Washington state.

She was predeceased by her brother, Donald Lindsey, in October 2002, and her husband, John.

A graveside Service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, at North Watertown Cemetery with Rev. Walter Giles officiating. There will be no calling hours. 

Arrangements are with Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter.
