William J. Sherbino

WATERTOWN, N.Y.  —  William J. Sherbino, 85, of Mechanic Street, passed away Wednesday morning at the Samaritan Keep Nursing Home where he had resided for about a week. 

Born April 4, 1926, in Watertown, the son of Herbert and Lillian McCready Sherbino, he attended school in Watertown. 

Mr. Sherbino worked for the Laborers Union in Watertown. He served in the United States Army during World War II. 

Surviving are his companion, Sharon Sykes, Watertown; two sons, Timothy J.  Sherbino, Watertown, and Patrick J. Sherbino, Watertown; two brothers, Jack Sherbino, Copenhagen, and Paul (Chrissy) Sherbino, Redwood; three sisters Doreen DeLosh and Penny Sherbino, both of Watertown, and Jill Fowler, Lorraine; and a grandson Brian. 

A sister, Margaret Madlin, died before him. 

There will be a graveside service 11 a.m. Tuesday,  Sept. 6, in Brookside Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
