RODMAN, N.Y.  —  Lyman P. Smith, 88, passed away Friday evening, Aug. 19, at Samaritan Keep Nursing Home, Watertown.

Born Dec. 9, 1922, Mr. Smith was a lifelong dairy farmer, from boyhood until he turned 88, when he could no longer perform his chores. 

He and his wife, Anna May, purchased their present farm on the Whitford Road in 1958, which continues to be operated by their son and daughter, Erwin and Ethel, and grandsons James and Nathan.

He graduated valedictorian from Henderson School in 1939, and married his wife, Anna May Redder in the summer of 1956.

Arrangements with Piddock Funeral Home, Adams, are private.

In lieu of flowers, any donations may be made to Faith Fellowship Church of Watertown, or Rodman Community Church.
