Dolores H. Burnham, 77, died Saturday evening, Sept. 3, at Samaritan Medical Center,
Watertown.
Dolores was born Aug. 14, 1934, in Carthage, the daughter of the late William and
Helen Rohde Zehr.
Calling hours will be held 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday,
Sept. 7, at Bossuot-Lundy Funeral Home Inc. 500 State St.,
Carthage. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. in the
chapel of the funeral home with Rev. John Swearinger, pastor of the City of Refuge Church,
Great Bend, officiating. Burial will follow in New Bremen Rural Cemetery.
She married Eveanor "Pete" Burnham.
She worked for Faichney Instruments and later Sherwood Medical Co. in
Watertown until she retired. She enjoyed spending time with her family
and traveling. She was active in several senior citizen clubs
throughout the area.
She was a member of the Baptist Church in Carthage.
Surviving are four daughters; Diana and her husband Tom Pratt, Las
Vegas, Nevada; Pandora (Penny) Burnham, Carthage; Candy and her
husband Joe Martin, Carthage; and Barbara Davis and her companion Doug
Marris, Carthage; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A sister, Karleen Zehr, Castorland; and four
brothers, Arlis Zehr,Seadrift, Texas, Andrew Zehr,
Castorland, Donald
Zehr, Manhattan, Kansas, and Jerry Zehr, Clifton Springs.
Her husband Pete, and two children, Larry Burnham and Karen Cutter and a granddaughter Abby, two brothers, Erwin
Zehr and John Zehr, and two sisters, Beverly Houppert and Mary
Gonyou, all died before her.
