CASTORLAND, N.Y. —
Bonnie J. Kloster, 60, of
the Third Road, Castorland, died unexpectedly Sunday
morning, Sept. 11, at the home of her daughter, Jodi
McConnell, Rural Ave., Lowville.
The funeral will be noon
Wednesday, Sept. 14, at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc.,
Lowville, with Rev. Bruce W. Chapman, retired Methodist
minister, officiating. Burial will follow in Beaches Bridge
Cemetery. Calling hours are 10 a.m. to noon at the funeral
home.
Born May 12, 1951, in Lowville, a daughter of Maynard
Hirschey and the late Sally Hulbert Hirschey, she attended
Lowville Academy.
She married Anthony F. “Dudo” Kloster on Oct. 28, 1978,
at Lowville United Methodist Church with Rev. Kirby
officiating.
She worked for the former Crown Zellerbach, later named
James River Corporation in Carthage for 17 years. She has
most recently worked for McManus Hotel as a home delivered
meal driver, and at the Maple Ridge meal site on the East
Road in Lowville.
She enjoyed reading, writing in her journal, watching the
Yankees and NASCAR. She also liked Ford products.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are three daughters, Tina Casler, Penn Yan,
Crystal and Ed Brownell, LaFargeville, Jodi McConnell,
Lowville; her father, Maynard Hirschey, Lowville; three
brothers and their wives, Gary and Peg Hirschey, Maynard
“Bruce” and Debra Hirschey, Michael and Connie Hirschey,
all of Lowville; seven grandchildren, Jesse, Billy, Briannia,
Samantha, Madisyn, Autumn and Brooklyn; aunts, uncles,
nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony F. “Dudo”
Kloster, who died March 1, 2008, a son, Corey Hughes, her
mother, Sally Hirschey, and a sister, Kathy Woods.
