WATERTOWN, N.Y. — Mildred M. Fuller, 94, of 940 Washington St., Henry Keep
Apartments, passed Tuesday Sept. 13, at her home.
A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 16, at Bruce Funeral Home, Black River, with Rev. Darryl Clark,
pastor of the Felts Mills Church of Christ Disciples, officiating. Burial will follow in
Felts Mills Cemetery.
Calling hours will precede the service from 9 to 11 a.m.
Friday at the funeral home.
Born Feb. 22, 1917, in Felts Mills, daughter of Eugene and Emma Young McAndrews, she graduated from Felts Mills High School. She received her teaching degree from Potsdam State Teacher’s College and then continued with her graduate work at St. Lawrence University.
Mrs. Fuller worked at Carthage Central School District for 32 years as a teacher, retiring in 1975.
She married Gordon D. Fuller, an officer in the Army, on
Sept. 8, 1944, in Felts Mills. He was a power engineer at the Deferiet branch of St. Regis Paper Co. until his retirement in 1976. Following this the couple made their home in Lakeland,
Fla. He passed on his 59th birthday, Nov. 18, 1980.
Mrs. Fuller was the oldest member of the Felts Mills Church of Christ Disciples, serving as church pianist for several years.
Among her survivors are a nephew, Michael A. McAndrews, Scottdale, Georgia.
A brother, Harlan “Mickey” McAndrews, died in 1979, and a sister, Marion M. Waters, died in 1987.
