— Theresa M. Tierney, 90, formerly of S. Massey
Street, passed away Friday evening, Sept. 16, at Samaritan Keep
Home where she had resided for three years.
The funeral Mass will be said 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20, at St. Patrick's Church with Rev. Donald Robinson officiating, followed by burial in Glenwood Cemetery.
Arrangements are with Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Watertown.
Mrs. Tierney was born in Watertown on March 18, 1921, the daughter of Dominick and Mary Brindesi Frattali. She graduated from Watertown High School in 1939.
On February 22, 1944 she married James White in Watertown. He died on December 22, 1946. She then married Bernard J. Tierney on September 27, 1954 in Dexter, and he died on April 1, 2000.
She had worked for Blue Cross/Blue Shield and in the business office of the House of the Good Samaritan. In 1985 she retired as personnel officer for Marine Midland Bank. She worked in the gift shop and was an auxiliary member at Mercy Hospital, and enjoyed crocheting and cooking.
Mrs. Tierney is survived by her daughter, Mary Catherine White, and son, Bernard W. Tierney, both of Chaumont; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren; three sisters, Rita F. Mackey and Clelia M. Navarra and husband, Nelson C., all of Watertown, and Lucy F. Trumble, Liverpool; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Besides both her husbands, she was predeceased by her brother, Vincent J. Frattali.
