Theodore Murray

HENDERSON, N.Y.  —  Theodore "Ted" Murray, 73, of Route 3, Woodville, passed away Monday evening, Sept. 19, at his home with Sue, his wife of 53 years, by his side.

The funeral will be 2 pm Saturday, Sept. 24, at the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville.  Calling hours are noon to 2 p.m. Saturday. 

He was born Feb. 17, 1938, in Fernwood, N.Y., a son to Walter and Eva Youngs Murray.  

Following his education at Adams High School, he worked for the Adams Phone Company. He later went to work at the P & C Warehouse in Lakeland, N.Y., in 1965, retiring after 30 plus years of service. 

He married Susan Sullivan on Sept. 13, 1958. 

Mr. Murray was a life member of the NRA and was a member of the Teamsters Union.  

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. 

Besides his wife, Sue, he is survived by three daughters, Teresa Stoutenger, Hastings, Brenda Arndt, Chicago, and Diana Eggleston, Brewerton; a son, David T. Murray, West Winfield, N.Y.; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; a brother Douglas Murray, Michigan; two sisters-in-law, Helen Murray, Mexico and Bertha Murray, Ariz.; many nieces and nephews. 

Four brothers, William, Tom, Max and Carlton, six sisters, Almeda Farman, Esther White, Nancy Berry, Yvonne Case, Beatrice Southworth,Virginia Smith, and three great grandchildren, Tyler and Nathaneal Parker and Mary Provo, all died before him.
