WATERTOWN, N.Y.  —  Jeanette M. Crump, 82, of 454 Mill St., Sky Line Apartments, passed Sunday, Oct. 2, at Mercy of Northern New York.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, at Sky Line Apartments Community Room. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Black River Cemetery.

Born Oct. 16, 1928, in West Carthage, a daughter of Daniel and Leona Stevenson Remore, she attended school in Carthage.

She married Charles J. Crump on Aug. 19, 1940, at Grace Church in Carthage. The marriage later ended in divorce.

She worked at Woolworth's and Montgomery Ward's as a manager and was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family, was very helpful and cared for many friends and family members and she enjoyed to sew, knit and crochet.

Surviving are three sons and a daughter-in-law, Charles R. and Constance M. Crump, Saratoga Springs, Terry R. Crump, Watertown, and Ronnie L. Crump, Ithaca; a grandson and his wife, Robert C. and Sarah Crump; a granddaughter and her husband, Wendy L. and Dale Morris; four great-grandchildren, Abigail Morris, Zachary Morris, Colin Crump, Courtney Crump; a sister and her husband, Arlene and Roy Egar, Troy; several nieces and nephews.

Two sons, Maurice and Richard, died at birth and a sister, Betty Rose, died before her.
