WATERTOWN, N.Y. — Donald F. Martin, 74, of 28021 Bonney Road,
passed Saturday, Oct. 1, at Samaritan Medical Center.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct.
5, at Hart & Bruce Funeral Home, Watertown.
A funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in
Sulphur Springs Cemetery.
Born July 10, 1937, in the Village of Brownville, son of Shirley and Madeline Fralick Martin, he graduated from high school in Adams.
Mr. Martin worked at Sears Roebuck from September of 1964 until he retired in July of 1996. He worked in the automotive and delivery department.
He married Diane F. Frink on May 7, 1977, at the First Presbyterian Church in Watertown. She also worked at
Sears Roebuck for 32 retiring in 2004. She worked in the repair and service department. The couple enjoyed traveling and camping in the Adirondacks.
Mr. Martin was a former member of the Brownville Fire Department, a member of the Jefferson County Agricultural Society, current associate director and a former grounds superintendent for the Jefferson County Fair.
He was also an avid hunter and golfer.
Among his survivors are his wife, Diane F. Martin, Watertown; a son, Scott D. Martin, Watertown; a grandson, Kody Martin; a daughter from a previous marriage, Charlotte Schmidt; and several nieces and nephews.
A brother, James Martin, three sisters, Kay Martin, Shirley Brislan, Sharon Bidwell and a son, David Hanson, all died before him.
