CARTHAGE, N.Y. — Claudia J. Gadbaw, 61, of 258 Champion St. Apt. 501, died Monday evening,
Oct. 3, at her residence where she was under the care of her family and Hospice of Jefferson County.
Born Nov. 28, 1949, in
Carthage, one of 19 children of the late Claude and Isabel
Flint Goldthrite, she attended Carthage Central
Schools.
She worked in the converting department of the former Crown
Zellerbach Corp. in Carthage.
She loved spending time with her family and fishing.
Surviving are two daughters, Lori J. Thomas, Clarksville, Tenn.,
and Loretta L. Olley, Carthage; a son, Patrick C. Compo,
West Carthage; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren;
four sisters, Margaret Rhone, Ontario, Mary Backus, Patsy
Blair and Kathy Reynolds, all of Carthage; five brothers,
Charles Goldthrite and Michael Goldthrite, Grover, N.C.,
Patrick Goldthrite, Natural Bridge, Dennis Goldthrite,
Castorland and Danny Goldthrite, Rochester; and several
nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, at
Grace Episcopal Church, Carthage. Burial will follow in Sand
Hill Cemetery, Natural Bridge. There will be no calling
hours.

Carthage.
