CLAYTON, N.Y.  —  George J. Hutcheon, 56, of County Route 5, died Oct. 8 at his residence.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, at T.R. Jetty Funeral Home in Clayton. A calling hour will be held 1 to 2 p.m. preceding the funeral service.

George was born April 3, 1955, in Watertown, the son of Louis and Ruth Burrows Hutcheon, he attended Clayton High School and served in the United States Army for three years. 

He was a self-employed truck driver and also drove for Terry and Vern Thompson.

George enjoyed deer hunting.

Surviving are a son, George Jr., Watertown; a daughter, Elizabeth, Clayton; five grandchildren; his companion of 23 years, Connie Evans; her children, Steve, Clayton, Tracey, Philadelphia, Francis, Chaumont, and their three children; three brothers, Sean and Jimmy of Depauville, Marcus of Syracuse; and uncles.
