William L. Gravelin

WATERTOWN, N.Y.  —  William L. “Burr” Gravelin, 84, of Route 3, died Friday, Oct. 14, at Samaritan Keep Home. 

Born Dec. 30, 1926, in Watertown, the son of Hector and Geraldine Wagar Graveline, he was a graduate of Watertown High School. 

Mr. Gravelin entered the Army on Feb. 22, 1945, serving in the 17th Airborne during World War II, and was honorably discharged March 27, 1946. 

He married Margaret M. Audette on April 28, 1946, in North Syracuse. Mrs. Gravelin died May 29, 1998. 

He was employed with Knowlton Bros. in Watertown for 42 years. 

Mr. Gravelin enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking. 

Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Carol Graveline, Watertown; and several nieces and nephews. 

A sister, Georgiann Hall, died before him. 

The will be no funeral services.   

Arrangements are with Frederick Bros. Funeral Home, Inc., Theresa.
