CARTHAGE, N.Y.  —  Wilma M. Plummer, 85, formerly of the Copenhagen Road, died Tuesday, Oct. 18, at the home of her son in Florence, S.C.

Born July 3, 1926, in Crosby, Ontario, Canada, the daughter of the late John Arthur and Mary Elizabeth Whalen Harrington, she was a graduate of the Brockville Business College. 

She married Lloyd E. Plummer on March 27, 1946, in Brockville, Ontario, with Rev. Cannon Coleman officiating. 

Mr. Plummer, a former employee of the Agway Corp. died Sept. 26, 1999.  

Wilma was a clerical assistant with the Carthage Federal Savings and Loan Association for many years.  

She was a longtime member of the Carthage Area Hospital Auxiliary. 

Surviving are a son, Wayne W. Plummer, Florence, S.C.; a daughter-in-law, Jo-Anne Plummer, Adams; four grandchildren. 

A son, Lloyd J. Plummer, and a sister, Jean Cuming, died before her. 

Funeral services will be held 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at Bezanilla-McGraw Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce W. Chapman officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Copenhagen. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, and 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at the funeral home.
