Randy Cowles, 52, died peacefully Thursday morning, Nov. 3, at the home of Robert and
Laurie Cowles under the care of his family and loving nurses.
He had been battling muscular dystrophy for several years.
Born August 11, 1959 in Watertown to Everett and Janice Baxter
Cowles, he attended high school in Harrisville until he was diagnosed then he was home schooled.
Mr. Cowles was diagnosed with MD in 1971 which kept him from working.
He married Tammy Lynne Paro on Nov. 20, 1982.
Surviving are his parents, Everett and Janice Baxter Cowles;
three children; a son, Lance and Kim Goodale, Evans Mills; a daughter, Summer Cowles and her fiancé, Joshua Howland, Carthage; a daughter, Sonja and Jose Perez,
Texas; four grandchildren that he just absolutely adored; Aubrey Porter,
Carthage, Brayden Goodale, Evans Mills; Chloe Howland,
Carthage, and Teigin Howland, Carthage; several nieces and
nephews; four brothers, Donnie and Carol Cowles, Russell, Bob and Laurie Cowles,
Harrisville, Larry and Lori Cowles, Gouverneur, and Bruce Cowles, Canton;
and a sister, Marcia and Dave Fuller, Edwards.
Two grandchildren, Brianna and Jayden Goodale, died before
him.
He loved the Yankees and any type of ball game.
He also loved spending time with his family and enjoyed movies.
Calling hours will be held 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, at the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc. located at 500 State
St., Carthage. Per his wishes, his body will be cremated. Burial will be held privately by the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family has set up a bank account in his name to help with the costs incurred with his care.
