Elizabeth Knight Beauchamp

WATERTOWN, N.Y.  —  Elizabeth "Betty" Knight Beauchamp, 91, of Watertown, passed away Friday, Nov. 4, at the Samaritan Keep Nursing Home where she had been a resident for a short time.

She was born Sept. 8, 1920, in Watertown, a daughter to John and Florence Waters Randall.  

On Jan. 31, 1938, Betty married Lorne Edward Knight in Watertown. Her loving husband of 51 years passed away Feb. 27, 1989. Betty Later married Victor Beauchamp. The marriage ended in divorce. 

Mrs. Knight Beauchamp was a homemaker for many years and a very special Mom to 10 children.  

Betty retired after more than 20 years from working at Cheseborough Ponds Co. of Watertown. 

She enjoyed music and dancing and spending time with her loving family. Betty also enjoyed going to bingo and playing cards with her family and friends.  

Betty enjoyed traveling to Pinellas Park, Fla., where she spent many winters before returning to the Watertown area to live out her later years. 

Surviving are four sons, Lorne (Joseph) and Linda Knight, Henderson; Donald and Shirley Knight, Chaumont, Richard and Marcia Knight, Rochester, Steven and Tina Knight, Watertown; five daughters, Sally Knight and Joseph Conforti, Pinellas Park, Fla., Gloria (Knight) and Gary (Bud) Sayer, Auburn, Cindi (Knight) Adams, Watertown, Tina (Knight) and Bob Hunt, Three Mile Bay, Debbie (Knight) Hamm, Rockmart, Ga.; a brother and his wife, George and Jane Randall, Jackson, Calif.; 33 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren and 11 great great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A son, John Knight, and two grandsons, Ryan Adams and Jordon Houghton, three brothers, William, Ted, and Richard Randall, and three sisters, Katherine Fazio, June Markanich and Lillian Randall, all died before her. 

Each and every one of her children, grandchildren, great and great grandchildren adored and loved her with all their heart. She always had a smile on her face and a place in her heart for every one of them. She truly was one special mother and grandmother to all of her children, young and old. She experienced many wonderful miracles during her 91 years and cherished them all and always was ready with a helping hand to all. She will be greatly missed not only by her loving family but by her extended family and friends. Betty was a gentle lady. 

Calling hours are 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, at Reed & Benoit Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow at 2 p.m. with Betty's grandson, Daryl Adams, officiating. Burial will take place in North Watertown Cemetery following the service.
