LOWVILLE, N.Y. — Emery K. Jantzi, 90, Liverpool,
and formerly of Lowville, died Tuesday morning, Nov. 8, at Iroquois Nursing Home,
Jamesville, where he had been a patient for a short time.
He was born June 19, 1921,
on O'Neill, Nebraska, the son of Christian and Anna Kennel
Jantzi. At age four his family moved to Canada. He attended
school in St. Petersburg, Ontario.
He married Doris Church on Aug. 27, 1966, at the First
Mennonite Church of New Bremen with Rev. Donald Jantzi
officiating.
He was employed by Agway
Petroleum in Lowville. After retirement he delivered flowers
for Guignard’s Flowers.
He enjoyed reading his bible and watching golf on TV.
Surviving are his wife, Doris, Liverpool; a daughter,
Patricia, Liverpool; a brother, Marvin, Medina, N.Y.;
several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Three siblings, Daniel and
Vernon Jantzi and Marie Nafziger, all died before him.
Funeral services services will be held noon Saturday, Nov.
12, at Adirondack Funeral Home, Croghan. Burial will
follow in the Croghan Mennonite Cemetery.
Calling hours will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the funeral home.
