— Patricia A.
Reimann, 72, Black River, died unexpectedly Friday, Nov. 11, at her home.
Born Jan. 14, 1939, in Rochester, the daughter of Arthur J. and Marjorie
Louk Houser, she graduated high school from Mercy High School,
Rochester.
Upon graduation, she entered St. James Nursing School, Hornell,
graduating with a degree as a registered nurse. After graduation, she was employed at St. James Hospital.
Moving to Watertown NY, she began her 33 year career as a nurse working first at Mercy Hospital and then The House of the Good Samaritan in the operating room. She moved to Florida and worked at University Community Hospital, Tampa,
Fla., retiring in 2005. She returned to the north country on June 14, 2011, to be close to her children.
She married Gary C. Reimann on Feb. 6, 1960, at St. Peter & Paul's Church,
Rochester. The marriage ended in divorce.
She was active in the Catholic community both in Watertown and Florida. She was active and involved in the Girl Scout movement as a leader for many years. She volunteered her time to many Cancer Society events and was very supportive each year to the need for the Angel Tree funds. She believed no child should go without Christmas gifts.
While living in Florida, she was active and donated many hours to the Plant Museum in Tampa. She loved gardening. She was an avid football fan, reader and loved to play Trivia and Jeopardy.
She enjoyed her many visits to Disney World in Orlando.
Surviving are three daughters and their husbands, Elizabeth R.
"Beth" and Robert M. Weldon, Jr., Linda A. and Kevin M. Chamberlain, all of Watertown, and Nancy R. and Richard F.
Walklett, Manlius; five grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A brother, Arthur J. Houser, Jr., died before her.
Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14, at Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Watertown. A prayer service will be
9:15 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, at the funeral home followed by a funeral
Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick's Church with Rev. Donald Robinson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in her name to the Sisters of the Precious Blood, 400 Pratt St., Watertown, NY 13601.
