Shirley C. Colvin

CARTHAGE, N.Y.  —  Shirley C. Colvin, 85, died Dec. 25, 2010. 

Her body was donated to the Anatomical Gift Program at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse New York. 

Born Sept. 15, 1925, in Montague, the daughter of Nelson and Nellie Hopseker Carter, she graduated in 1942 from Copenhagen Central School. She also attended and graduated from the School of Commerce in Watertown.

She married Fuller Colvin on Dec. 2, 1946, in Copenhagen. Mr. Colvin died in 1995.

She enjoyed gardening and crocheting and most of all her family and friends.

Surviving are a daughter, Lorrie Colvin, Copenhagen; a sister, Ruby Lehman, Croghan; two brothers, Russell Carter and Gerald Carter, both of Copenhagen; and a granddaughter, Megan Coons, Albany.

A memorial graveside service will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, in Riverside Cemetery in Copenhagen.
