REDWOOD, N.Y.  —   Elaine M. Wik Martire, 84, of Goose Bay Road, and formerly of Carolina Beach Village, N.C., passed away peacefully with her daughters and sons-in-law nearby. 

Her husband of 62 years, Donald, passed just several weeks before her on Oct. 10.

Born Sept. 12, 1928, in Yonkers, N.Y., the daughter of the late Andrew and Madeline Mayer Wik, she grew up in Thornwood, N.Y., and graduated from Pleasantville High School. 

She worked for U.S. Trust Co. in New York City. 

She married Donald V. Martire on July 22, 1950, in Hawthorne, N.Y.

Elaine leaves behind four daughters, Linda and her husband, Edward Bollenbach, Winsted, Conn., Cheryl and her husband, Edward Carvill, Goose Bay, (with whom she resided), Suzanne and her husband, Almon Hall, Providence, RI, Michele Martire, Wilmington, N.C. ; four grandchildren, Heather Carvill Henry, Amber Carvill Johnson, Sara and Stephen Hall; a great-grandchild, Aurelia Johnson; a brother, Ronald Wik, Boca Raton, Fla.; a sister, Diane Morgan, Cummings, Ga.; and her long-time best friend, Evelyn Zeitler, Schenectady, N.Y.

Funeral arrangements will be private and at the convenience of the family.
