CROGHAN, N.Y.   —  Donna W. Mitchell, 78, of Steiner Road, died Tuesday morning, Nov. 13, at University Hospital, Syracuse, after a brief illness.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 23, at the Beaver Falls United Methodist Church with the Rev. Linda Harris, pastor, and the Rev. Bruce Chapman, retired minister officiating. There will be no calling hours. 

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Adirondack Funeral Home, Croghan. 

Donna died Tuesday morning at University Hospital, Syracuse, after a brief illness.

She was born in the Town of Pinckney to C. Kenneth and Choyce Fee Waterman, she graduated in 1952 from Beaver River Central School. 

She married Harry J. Mitchell on Aug. 14, 1954, in the Beaver Falls United Methodist Church.

She sold Avon while living in Baldwinsville. 

She enjoyed volunteering at her church, was active in the church choir and enjoyed playing the keyboard.

She enjoyed puzzles, travelling and camping. She was a member of the Black River Valley Campers and the Family Motor Coach Association.

Besides her husband Harry, of Croghan, she is survived by a daughter and her husband, Bambi Lynn and Rex Niles, Oneida, and Charles D., Lowville; a brother, Keith, Adams; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is predeceased by two daughters, Mindy Sue in 1959 and Terri Lee in 2011. Three brothers, Larry, John and Francis also died before her.
