— Harold
W. Tracy, 70, of E. Main Street, passed away Thursday
morning, Nov. 15, in the emergency room at Samaritan Medical
Center.
Calling hours will be held 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday,
Nov. 18, at Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Watertown. The
funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 19, at the
funeral home with burial following in North Watertown
Cemetery.
Mr. Tracy was born June 26, 1942, in Watertown, a son of Leo
and Catherine Reff Tracy.
A marriage to Arlene Slate ended in divorce, and he then
married June Roof.
For over 30 years he was the owner and mechanic of Tracy's
Automotive in Watertown.
He was a member of Eagles Aerie #782. Harold was an avid
racing fan and drove car #39 at the Watertown Speedway, and
had also drove at Evans Mills and Can-Am speedways. His
favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt.
He was a fan of the New York Yankees and Dallas Cowboys.
Besides his wife, June Roof, he is survived by four
children, Karen A. Roberts, and husband, Steven, and Mary
Binion and husband, Greg, all of Watertown, Brenda L. Reff
and husband, Tim, Cape Vincent, and Kevin H. Tracy,
Watertown; four stepchildren, John Lieberman, Dale and Ruby
Lieberman, and Jeffrey Lieberman and companion, Hannah, all
of Watertown, and Cean and Adele Lieberman, VT; seven
grandchildren, eight step grandchildren; a great-granddaughter;
and two step great grandsons; two brothers, Thomas and Janet
Tracy, Pa., and John Tracy, Watertown; his sister, Catherine
and Pat Cathy, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews, and
cousins.
A brother, Leo Tracy, and two sisters, Joyce Lane and
Beverly Claflin, all died before him.
