— Joy F. Stevens, 62, of 662 Cayuga Ave.,
died Nov. 19, at Samaritan Medical Center where she had been a patient since Monday.
Calling hours will be 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, at Hart & Bruce Funeral Home,
Watertown. The funeral service will be
3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Richard Kennedy,
pastor of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, officiating. Burial will follow in
North Watertown Cemetery.
Born Sept. 24, 1946, in Syracuse, daughter of Louis & Regina Mancino, she attended school in Syracuse.
She resided in Syracuse and worked as a beautician.
She married Francis “Popeye” Stevens on July, 16, 1976,
in Watertown. The couple resided in Watertown where they owned and operated the Red Moon Diner. Mr. Stevens died in 1977.
Mrs. Stevens worked for the state of New York at the State Office Building where she worked for the office of general services for 9 years, retiring in 1991 due to disability.
Among her survivors are three sons and two daughters-in-law, Jamison L.
and Suzanne M. Mancino, Cheektowaga, N.Y., Christopher J.
and Pamela S. Mancino, Watertown, and Donald C. Corbett,
Watertown; eight grandchildren, a great-grandchild; and a great aunt, Rose Ward,
Watertown.
A brother, Louis Mancino, died before her.
She was a Buffalo Bills fan. She enjoyed cooking and loved her dogs, Damion and Storm.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend.
