BELLEVILLE, N.Y.  —  Darlene R. Taylor, 68, Henderson, wife of David Taylor, passed away Saturday, Nov. 24, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, in Woodlawn Cemetery, Sandy Creek. There are no calling hours. 

Arrangements are with Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville. 

Born July 12, 1944, in the town of Richland, a daughter to Clark and Ethel Phillips Gibbs, she graduated from Cape Vincent High School. 

Darlene was employed by Contel / Citizens Telephone Co. in Pulaski and Behlings in Adams. 

She married David Taylor December 12, 1967. 

Mr. and Mrs. Taylor formerly resided in Ellisburg for 28 years.

Besides her husband David, Darlene is survived by two sons and their wives, Jeffrey and Kimberly, Adams; John and Carrie, Henderson. A daughter Shelly Peterson and her companion Gordon Rumsey, Belleville. Six grandchildren, Caleb, Zachary, Alyssa and Kelsea Taylor, Breanne and Hayden Peterson. A sister Grace Soule, Pulaski. Many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

She was predeceased by two sisters, Doris (infant) and Vada Watson; and four brothers Charles, Robert, Herbert and Ronald Gibbs.
