WATERTOWN, N.Y.
— Bernard J.
LaBreck, 86, of 732 Hancock Rd., passed Tuesday, Nov. 27, at
his home.
The funeral service will be 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, with
Rev. Samuel D. Larkin officiating at Hart & Bruce
Funeral Home.
Calling hours will be 2to 4 and 6to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30,
at the funeral home.
Born Nov. 22, 1926, in Watertown, a son of William and
Lillian Collins LaBreck, he attended Watertown High School.
He entered the Navy in 1943 and served for a year. Upon his
return he worked several jobs in the Watertown area before
going to Seaway Motors Express in Watertown as a tractor
trailer driver, for over 25 years, retiring in 1985. He was
a teamster for Union Local 687. Since 2002 has been the
president for the Teamsters Retiree Club Local Chapter
687.
He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family.
He married Janice E. Fyles of Watertown on Aug. 11, 1956, at
Stone St. Presbyterian Church. The couple resided in
Watertown. Janice worked 25 years for the Christian Supply
Center in Watertown, retiring in 2005.
Among his survivors are his wife, Janice E. Fyles LaBreck,
Watertown; a son and his wife, Paul M. and Betty J. LaBreck,
Watertown; three daughters and a son-in-law, Cheryle L.
Cornaire, Virginia, Micki M. and Rev. Samuel D. Larkin,
Watertown, Faith E. Campbell, Watertown; nine
grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; several nieces and
nephews.
Two brothers, William and Donald LaBreck and three sisters,
Beatrice Wilson, Bernice Busack and Eleanor Saur, all died
before him.
