Louise E. Ball, 75, of Cooper Street,
went to her loving
father at 5:55 a.m. Thursday morning, Nov. 29, at University
Hospital, Syracuse, following a brief illness.
The funeral will be 11
a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, at First United Methodist Church,
Watertown, with Rev. Joyce Woodcock officiating. Burial will
follow the service in Sanford Corners Cemetery, Calcium.
Calling hours will be 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, at Reed
& Benoit Funeral Home.
Born Dec. 2, 1936, in the town of Pamelia, a daughter to
Walter J. and Ruth M. Ward Fields, she graduated in 1954
from Evans Mills High School.
She married Ora P. Ball Jr. on Oct. 21, 1956, at Bethany
United Methodist Church, Watertown.
Mrs. Ball worked for the Watertown City School District as a
nurse's aide at Wiley School until her retirement in
1998.
She was the organist and choir director at Bethany United
Methodist Church, and was a member of the First United
Methodist Church.
She enjoyed singing in choir, working at church events,
traveling, camping, singing, and spending the winter in
Arcadia, Fla.
Surviving besides her husband are two daughters and their
husbands, Ruth and Frank Reed, Bangor, Pa., and Sherry and
James Hrabchak, Newark, N.Y.; a son, Ora J. Ball and partner,
Steven Chambers, Jacksonville, Fla.; two grandchildren: John
(Jessica) Groller, Bangor, Pa., and Sarah Wilson; a
great-grandchild, Olivia Elizabeth Groller; and a brother,
George (Ethel) Fields, Burnt Hills, N.Y.
A brother, Fred Fields, and a son, Leo W., both died before
her.
