CALCIUM, N.Y.  —  Karen S. Bauder, 74, of Route 11, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown, surrounded by her family.

She was born Sept. 12, 1938, in Carthage, a daughter to the late Leeland and Ardis Baker Dasno. 

She married Robert C. Bauder on Sept. 27, 1958, at the Assembly of God Church on Haley Street. They were the first couple to be married at that church.

Karen worked at Bomax in Watertown for 20 years. Later, she would work at Sherwood Medical until her retirement. 

Mrs. Bauder enjoyed playing cards, visiting with friends, and talking on the phone. 

She was a parishioner of Watertown Assembly of God Church.

Surviving besides her husband, Robert, are three sons, Stephen (Penny) Bauder, Watertown, Jonathan (Tammy) Bauder, Watertown, and Robert II (Darci) Bauder, Watertown; a daughter, Marilyn "Mickie" (Dan) Sampson, Dexter; a sister, Donna Hoover, Watertown; a brother, Richard Dasno, Adams; 10 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 3, at Watertown Assembly of God Church, Haley Street, Watertown. There are no calling hours. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Watertown Salvation Army, 723 State Street, Watertown, NY 13601.
