Elton J. Rose

LOWVILLE, N.Y.  —  Elton J. Rose, 38, of Valley View Courts, died at his home Friday, Dec. 2. 

Born Sept. 4, 1973, in Carthage, the son of Albert J. and Dorothy I. McDonald Rose, he graduated in 1992 from South Lewis Central School. 

Elton worked at Country Bob’s where he helped in the kitchen and with building maintenance, Kraft Foods, Jeb’s and Whites Farm Supply. He especially liked working at his sister’s farm. 

Elton was creative with his hands and loved making paper models, building car models, woodworking, collecting Coca Cola memorabilia, playing computer games, and listening and collecting a variety of music. 

Surviving are his parents, his mother, Dorothy, Constableville, his father, Albert, Clarksville, Tenn.; a sister and future brother in-law, Brenda Manor and Dennis Morrison, Turin; a brother, Christopher J. Rose, Lowville; a companion, Sharron Lane, Lowville; and his nieces and nephews, Andee, Andrew, Calla, Chanelle, Brianna, Dennis, and Christopher. 

His funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, at Sundquist Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Manzer, retired minister officiating. Burial will be in Old Glendale Cemetery. 

Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5, at the funeral home.
