ADAMS CENTER, N.Y.  —  Keith E. McConnell, 77, of Lyons Corners Road, died early Wednesday morning at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown. 

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at Piddock Funeral Home, Adams, with Mona Fargo, pastor of the Adams United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Adams Center. Calling hours are 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, at the funeral home.

Born Dec. 6, 1934, in Adams Center, son of Albert and Lila Thomas McConnell, he graduated from Adams Center High School. 

He married Elenor Gravell on Dec. 9, 1955. They lived all of their married life in Adams Center.

He drove truck for many companies and retired after 30 years in 1980 from R.J. Roderick Company, Watertown.

Surviving are his beautiful wife Elenor M. McConnell; four sons, Keith (Joanne) McConnell II, Adams Center, Gerald W. (Teresa) McConnell, Adams. Steven M. McConnell, Adams Center, and Christopher (Patty) McConnell, Adams; two daughters, Penny (Gator) Hatch, Adams Center, and Kimberly Sain, Watertown; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lyndon McConnell, Dexter, and Donald McConnell, Watertown; and a sister, Susie Calhoun, Watertown.

He was predeceased by a beloved daughter, Melody M. Roe, who passed before him in 2007.
