— Virginia
H. Todd, 93, formerly of 213 N. Clinton St., died Monday
morning, Dec. 12, in the Skilled Nursing Unit of the
Carthage Area Hospital.
Born March 10, 1918, in Port Henry, N.Y. the daughter of the
late James and Madeleine Cherbo Vittorioso (Trow), she
graduated from Port Henry High School and Canton ATI.
She married Audus A. Todd on Aug. 26, 1937, in Port Henry.
Mr. Todd died July 10, 2005.
Virginia was the dietician, in charge of the cafeteria at
Augustinian Academy, Carthage for many years, retiring in
1983.
Mrs. Todd was a member of St. James Catholic Church and was
active in preparing food for all the events at St James
Church and Augustinian Academy.
She and her husband were avid bowlers.
Surviving are a daughter, Mary Judith Hottinger, Sebring, Fla.;
two sons and their wives, Richard J. and Sharlene Todd,
Harrisville, and Robert S. and Joan Todd, Carthage; four grandchildren
and four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and
nephews.
Four brothers, Thomas, William, James and John and three
sisters, Mary, Mildred and Catherine, all died before her.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, at
St. James Catholic Church with the Rev. George F. Maroun, pastor,
officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Calling
hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14, at Bezanilla-McGraw
Funeral Home.
Contributions in her memory may be made to the Heritage Fund
of St. James Church, 327 West St., Carthage or Augustinian
Academy.
