Janice M.
Squire, 78, of LeRay Street, died Dec. 12, 2012.
Born April 10, 1934, in Watertown, the daughter of Elson and
Geneva Ray Helmer, she attended Watertown High School.
She was married to Allyn Baker and Richard Squire. Both
marriages ended in divorce.
Mrs. Squire was employed with Auto Lite in East Syracuse for
five years and General Electric in Liverpool for twenty
years.
She enjoyed attending craft fairs and making jewelry and
other crafts.
As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Mrs. Squire attended the
Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Black River, N.Y.
Survivors include a son and his wife, Allyn Jr. and Bethany
Baker, Winston Salem, NC; a daughter and her husband, Tina
and Douglas Ostrom, Kernersville, NC; two brothers and their
wives, Richard and Wava Helmer, Fulton and Robert and Sheila
Helmer, Fla.
A brother, Elson Helmer Jr., died before her.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, at
the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Black River.
Arrangements are with Frederick Bros. Funeral Home,
Theresa.
