WATERTOWN, N.Y. — John C. Hall, 94, of 17397 Sandy Creek Valley Road,
passed Dec. 13, at the Samaritan Keep Nursing Home where he had resided since December
2010.
Arrangements are with Hart & Bruce Funeral Home, Watertown.
There will be no calling hours or funeral. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
Born Dec. 3, 1917, in Brooklyn, the son of John and Rose E. Martini Hall, he attended St. John's Grammar School in Brooklyn.
He entered the Army on Jan. 29, 1941. He received the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Ribbon. He was honorably discharged as
technical sergeant on July 5, 1943.
Mr. Hall was self employed for 32 years as a real estate
insurance broker, retiring in 1979. He also owned and operated a liquor store, bar, and apartments in the Railroad Hotel located in Port Jervis, NY up until 1987. He also worked several years at the Monticello Race Track.
He married Jeanette on Feb. 19, 1944. She passed in 1996.
Mr. Hall enjoyed bingo and playing cards at Turning Stone
Casino.
He was a member of the Lincoln Club in Watertown, life time member of the Watertown Elks Lodge #496, and life time member of the VFW.
Among his survivors are his companion, Shirley Kennedy, Watertown; five daughters and three sons-in-law, Jeanette and Marty
Himmelfarb, Fla., and Cape Cod, Mass., Virginia and Richard DePaso, Henderson,
Nev., Patricia and Ronald Wicks, Fla., Yvonne Hall, Ossining,
N.Y., and Denise Hall, Milford, Pa.; eight grandchildren,
six great-grandchildren.
A son, John Hall, died before him.
