— Rosemary
E. Sinclair, 59, of Holcomb Street, died on Sunday, Dec. 16,
at Samaritan Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 29, 1953, in Watertown, the daughter of
Robert B. and Frances Nolan Sinclair, who were founding
members of the group who formed Jefferson County Association
for Retarded Children, now known as Jefferson Rehabilitation
Center.
Rosemary lived in Watertown all her life and was a consumer
of services of Jefferson Rehabilitation Center and Sunmount
DDSO. She worked for many years at Production Unlimited.
She attended special education classes at Knickerbocker
Elementary School, Case Jr. High School, and special
religious education classes at Holy Family School.
She was a member of the local self advocacy group for the
disabled, attending many conferences and conventions for
self advocacy.
She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her
friends.
She was gentle, kind, and had a loving nature.
Surviving are two brothers and two sisters in law, Brian
Sinclair, NYC, Steven and Ginny Sinclair, Chaumont, and
Valerie Sinclair, Watertown, four nephews and two nieces in
law, Ian and Melissa, Eric, Kent, and Nolan and Bernadette,
her lifelong advocate and friend, Nancy Kall, and her best
friends, Nancy Murphy, David Liscomb, and Mark Richardson,
with whom she enjoyed spending time.
Two brothers, Bruce and David, died before her.
Calling hours will be 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, at D. L.
Calarco Funeral Home, Inc. A prayer service will be held
9:15 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, at the funeral home with a 10
a.m. funeral Mass at Holy Family Church with Reverend Steven
Murray officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood
Cemetery.
