— David
A. Bourcy, 59, of NYS Route
12E, died Sunday, Dec. 16, at his home from natural causes.
Calling hours will
be 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, at T.R. Jetty Funeral Home
in Clayton.
A
graveside committal service will be 11 a.m. Friday, Dec.,
21, at St. Lawrence Union Cemetery.
Born Nov. 16, 1953, in Watertown, the son of Peter and
Shirley Thibault Bourcy, he graduated in 1971 from Clayton
Central School.
He married Karen Smith on May 7, 1977, at St. Mary’s
Church in Clayton with Father Euclid Maurier officiating.
Dave worked for 15 years at Wingrath Brothers in Clayton,
also Napa in Clayton and for short time at Wellesley Island
Building Supply. In 1989, he went to work for the NYS
Corrections and was employed by the Cape Vincent
Correctional Facility at the time of his death.
He enjoyed doing carpentry, reading and watching the New
York Yankees and Giants play.
Surviving besides his wife, Karen, are two children, Brian,
at home and Stephanie (Andy) Xenias, West Henrietta, N.Y.; a
brother Michael (Elizabeth), Dexter; two sisters, Christine
Bourcy, Clayton, and Mrs. Lorraine (Gawaine) Ward,
Alexandria Bay; nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles.
A son, Bradley, died at birth.
