CORNERS, N.Y. — Anna Marie Collette,
89, of Waterman Road, passed away Friday, Dec. 16, at the
home of her caregivers with whom she has lived with for the
past 10 years, her son and daughter-in-law, Frederick and
Elizabeth Collette, and Lewis County Hospice.
She was born May 22, 1922, in Elizabethtown, N.J., a
daughter to Nunzio and Carmelo Mascharitolo Ragazzo.
She married Henry V. Collette on Jan. 4, 1943. He passed in
1972.
Anna worked in food service for the Watertown City School
District from 1961 to 1972 and for Fort Drum food service
from 1972 to 1987.
She enjoyed bingo, crossword puzzles and trips to the
casino.
Surviving are her children, Frederick and Elizabeth Collette,
Barnes Corners, Richard and Dalyvonh, Rochester, Peter and
Antoinette, Deferiet, Lorraine Chapin, Ga.; eight
grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and two great
great-grandchildren; two brothers, Michael and Rocco Ragazzo,
New Jersey; many nieces and nephews.
Four brothers, Salvador, Frank, Joseph, Charles and Anthony,
all died before her.
Per Anna's wishes, her body was donated to the Anatomical
Gift Program at SUNY Upstate Medical Center, Syracuse.
Contributions may be made to Lewis County Hospice.
Graveside services will be held at a later date.
