LeWayne J. Widrick

LOWVILLE, N.Y.  — 
LeWayne J. Widrick, 69, of Artz Road, died Sunday afternoon, Dec. 16, at his home.

Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville. A graveside service will be 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 21, at Croghan Mennonite Cemetery with a Memorial Service to follow at 11 a.m. at Naumburg Mennonite Church.

Born March 22, 1943, in Lowville, a son of the late Irving and Savilla Zehr Widrick, he attended a one room schoolhouse in the Town of New Bremen and Lowville Academy. 

He enjoyed making leather crafts and woodworking, and made many wooden wishing wells and walking canes. 

Mr. Widrick was involved with the American Maple Museum in Croghan and was well known for his maple butter and sugar cakes.

He was a member of the Naumburg Mennonite Church.

Surviving are a brother, Edsel I. Widrick, Oakland, Calif.; and several cousins. 

A sister, Charlene A. Widrick, died October 21, 2010.
