WATERTOWN, N.Y.  —  Marian Louise Barr, 83, passed away Saturday, Dec. 17, in Sebring, Fla.

She was born March 26, 1928, in Chaumont, a daughter of Richard W. and Florence E. Cottrell Staie.

She married Phillip N. G. Barr on Oct. 28, 1950. 

Mrs. Barr was a homemaker. 

She and her husband resided in the Watertown area until moving to Port Charlotte, FL in 1977 and then to Sebring in 1986.

Mrs. Barr enjoyed traveling, volunteering and spending time with family and friends.

Surviving are a daughter, Debra Siver, Sebring, Fal.; a son, Allen Barr, Tampa, Fla.; a brother, Bernard Staie, Liverpool, N.Y.; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Bernice Gardner, Calcium, Shirley and Lester Bush, Lyons Falls, N.Y.; three grandchildren; Richard Siver, Lisa Smith, Rebecca Siver and eight great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Phillip Barr, and infant daughter, Mary Anne Barr.

Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, at Hart & Bruce Funeral Home, Watertown.

The funeral service will follow calling hours at 7:30 p.m. Dec 22 at the funeral home with Rev. Richard Kennedy, pastor of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, officiating.

Burial will be 7:45 a.m. Friday, Dec 23, in Sanford Corners Cemetery.
